Title “How Does It Feel?” is a classic question on psychotherapy. At the beginning of the war, I had a constant set of strong feelings: anger, rage, hatred, pain, sadness, longing, apathy.
Now I noticed: with each flagrant crime of Russia, the meaning and significance of this list of feelings seem to be erased, leveled. For myself, I found a way to share my feelings when there are no words. This is the creation of a series with unique photo reflections on the painful events of the war.

About author

I was born in 1994 in Kherson, Ukraine. In 2018, I completed my Master’s degree in Ukrainian Philology at Kherson State University. Since 2018, I have been earning a living through photography and occasionally shooting videos. From 2020, I have been working on creative photo projects and developing my skills in conceptual photography. During this time, I have completed 9 photo projects and participated in 13 exhibitions. I am also taking my first steps into documentary filmmaking.

Currently, I am capturing my reactions to the russian military aggression in my country. I am attempting to transform pain, agony, devastation, anger, and hatred into art. Creation is an action that gives energy to life. It seems that I am turning death into life.
